The numeracy test assesses the candidate’s mathematical knowledge and ability. This section differs from the mathematical thinking section in the section’s emphasis on raw mathematical ability, comfort with basic operations, and strength of mathematical knowledge, rather than the problem-solving ability, as in the Mathematical thinking section.

This test covers various concepts including numbers, exponents, roots, basic logarithms, fractions, percentages, and more.

The test is also an adaptive test that varies the difficulty of the questions based on the current performance of the candidate, thereby zeroing in on a fairly definitive numeric measure on the candidate. The result of this section is given in TruScore & percentiles.

Where to use this test?

This test differentiates itself from the mathematical thinking test as in this test measures the candidates’ ability to be comfortable with numbers and not necessarily the problem solving ability. So this test is best used in such cases.
